Scoring Zone Clinic:
REDUCING THREE PUTTS
The putter is the most important club in your bag. It’s the club that you use more often than any other club. A hot putter is what makes a champion. The physical aspects of putting look simple, but every player knows that putting is more than just a physical task. The mechanics of putting must work in combination with a player’s visual skills, powers of imagination, and level of confidence. The mental art of putting is the true challenge in putting. Putting, more than the long game, is a test of a player’s emotional stability and patience.
In this one hour, one day session, you will be given the opportunity to learn the proper fundamentals of the basic stroke and swing motion associated with putting and lag putting. This session will include valuable handouts that will help you with your short game practice going forward.
Cost is $30.00 per person including tax. Space is limited so be sure to sign up asap.
CHIPPING AND PUTTING
As numerous studies have shown, an improved short game is the fastest way to lower your scores. In the average round approximately 65% of your strokes are directly related to one of the four short game components: putting, chipping, pitching or bunker play. The average golfer throws away eight to 12 shots per round due to a poor short game. If you just cut those errors in half, your handicap would drop dramatically.
It’s no secret that the most successful players on the PGA Tour typically have the best short games, so if you want to lower your handicap, it’s time to spend less time hitting balls and more time around the practice green.
Specific techniques, strategies and specialty shots related to the short game will also be introduced. This short game session is designed to help all golfers attain a lower handicap. Upon completion of this program, golfers will have acquired more refined putting, chipping, pitching, and especially wedge shot skills. Ashley’s goal is to help you measure the many facets of your short game and provide you with a clear idea of how to improve your scoring ability.
